Change the following sentences.

1. By working hard, you can succeed.

Compound: Work hard and you can succeed.

Complex: If you work hard, you can succeed.

2. Without working hard, you cannot succeed.

Compound: Work hard or you cannot succeed.

Complex: If you don’t work hard, you cannot succeed.

Unless you work hard, you cannot succeed

3. Despite working hard, he could not succeed.

Compound: He worked hard but he could not succeed.

Complex: Though he worked hard, he could not succeed.
